Welcome to RaiderBuddy. By accessing or using the RaiderBuddy desktop application, web application, or any related services (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using RaiderBuddy, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Services.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services. By using the Services, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

2. Description of Services

RaiderBuddy is a companion application for the video game ARC Raiders, providing features including but not limited to:

  • Event timers and notifications
  • Interactive maps with markers and locations
  • Skill tree planner
  • Weapon tier list creator
  • Trials tracking and objectives
  • Item tracking and needed items list

RaiderBuddy is an independent fan-made project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Embark Studios or ARC Raiders.

3. User Accounts

Account Creation

Some features of the Services require you to create an account using Discord or Google OAuth. When you create an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to violation of these Terms.

4. Premium Subscription

Subscription Terms

RaiderBuddy offers a premium subscription ("RaiderBuddy Premium") that provides access to additional features. By subscribing to Premium:

  • You agree to pay the subscription fee at the then-current rate
  • Your subscription will automatically renew unless cancelled
  • You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period

Free Trial

We may offer a free trial period for Premium features. At the end of the trial, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends. Free trials are limited to one per user.

Refunds

Subscription payments are generally non-refundable. However, you may request a refund within 14 days of your initial purchase if you have not substantially used the Premium features. Refund requests can be submitted through our Discord server.

Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices at any time. Price changes will be communicated in advance and will take effect at your next billing cycle.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Services to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe upon the rights of others
  • Distribute malware, viruses, or other harmful code
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Services or servers
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software
  • Use the Services for any commercial purpose without our written consent
  • Automate access to the Services without our permission (e.g., bots, scrapers)
  • Circumvent any access restrictions or usage limitations

6. Intellectual Property

Our Content

The RaiderBuddy name, logo, software, and original content are owned by RaiderBuddy and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

Third-Party Content

Game-related content, including but not limited to images, icons, and information from ARC Raiders, are the property of Embark Studios AB. Such content is used for informational purposes and under fair use principles.

User Content

Any content you create using the Services (such as tier lists or skill builds) remains your property. By using the Services, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display and process your content as necessary to provide the Services.

7. Third-Party Services

The Services integrate with third-party services including:

  • Supabase: For authentication and data storage
  • Stripe: For payment processing
  • Discord: For OAuth authentication and community features
  • Google: For OAuth authentication

Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third-party services.

8. Disclaimers

No Warranty

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Game Information Accuracy

While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information about ARC Raiders, we cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of game-related content. Game information may change with updates and patches.

Service Availability

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Services. The Services may be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL RAIDERBUDDY, ITS DEVELOPERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $50 USD, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless RaiderBuddy and its developers from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Services or your violation of these Terms.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Services shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and if necessary, through binding arbitration or the courts of competent jurisdiction.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining provisions of these Terms remain in full force and effect.
